Q1:

(b) Explain intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bonding giving suitable examples. (3)

(c) Give the Newman projection formulae of confirmations of n-Butane and their increasing order of stability.  (3)

(d) What is geometrical isomerism? Which out of the following do not exhibit Geometrical isomerism: (3)

(a) Explain the mechanism of hydroboration oxidation of alekenes. (3)

(b) What is Satyzeff's rule? Explain with a suitable example. (3)

(c) Which type of alkynes are acidic in nature? Arrange Ethane, Ethene and Acetylene in the decreasing order of their acidic strength. (3)

(d) Explain why peroxide effect is not observed in case of HCl and HI during their addition to alekenes? (3)
